Unabashed political spin Serious political analysis is not going to be in short supply in the next few days. To balance all this punditry, I present you two lighter takes on politics.
The first is a website which introduces you to an interactive visualization of what Sarah Palin’s White House would look like: sarahaspresident.us
The most entertaining items to click on [have your audio on -ed.] are (i) the Maverick poster, a 1994 film starring Mel Gibson, (ii) spinning the globe and then clicking on it, and (iii) I won’t tell you where, but there is a pit bull with lipstick hidden somewhere in the Oval Office.
The second is a spoof video of Barack Obama (h/t The Onion) undertaking a presidential internship to ease concerns about his lack of experience. I love how Spain is the country where Obama is getting his presidential experience from Prime Minister Zapatero (of course the nature of the job may be similar, but this is hard not to point out). Also the fact that Zapatero is socialist makes the video doubly funny. Make sure to listen to the comments of a Spanish politician about Barack Obama (around 1:57m).

Those were really funny!
